Obtaining an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du QuébecThe Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec) is a document issued by the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles that provides a general description of the educational documents presented for evaluation as well as the curriculum followed outside Québec. It indicates how the studies completed outside Québec compare to the Québec education system and its main diplomas (or educational benchmarks). The comparative evaluation is neither a diploma nor the equivalent of a diploma. It is an expert opinion issued for reference purposes that can help individuals who studied outside Québec find a job. The comparative evaluation is issued following a rigorous and structured analysis based on several years of experience. Employers, educational institutions and professional orders often take the comparative evaluation into consideration during hiring, selection or admission. For more information on the education systems of certain countries, consult Tableaux comparatifs des diplômes, in Appendix 4 of the table of contents of the chapter on the Programme régulier de sélection des candidats travailleurs qualifiés in the Guide des procédures d'immigration (PDF, 640 Kb).
