Procedure for submitting your application

The Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec) is a document that compares educational benchmarks (or main diplomas) and areas of training under the Québec education system with studies done outside Québec. This comparative evaluation is not a diploma or an equivalency diploma. It is an expert opinion issued for reference purposes that can help individuals who studied outside Québec find a job or continue their studies. It does not bind employers, professional orders, regulatory agencies or educational institutions, which may evaluate your training based on their own methods and criteria.

The comparative evaluation tables were removed from Appendix 3 of the Guide des procédures d'immigration since they contained obsolete information. The MICC is currently developing a new tool. In the meantime, you can still consult the website of the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials, in the section Country Education Profiles.

Here is the procedure for requesting a comparative evaluation:

  1. Complete the form Request for an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (Comparative evaluation for studies done outside Quebec) (Dynamic PDF, 281 Kb) by following the instructions provided.

  2. Your request must include:

    - all required documents
    - the translations of your documents
    - payment of the required fees to process your file

  3. Send the entire package to the Direction du courrier, de l’encaissement et de l’évaluation comparative.
